The doors have now opened to our very first tea room, Butterscotch which has put a modern spin on the British tradition from the recipes to the decor - it's anything but quintessential.
With rose gold settings and gorgeous paper flowers adorning the walls the tea room has an elegant feel, making it the perfect spot for an indulgent afternoon tea. The upstairs offers a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy on-the-go coffee, cakes and Bea’s signature bakes alongside the second instalment of Bea’s Goldilocks porridge bar which include 60 different toppings for you to create your own unique porridge pot.
Butterscotch's afternoon tea includes a selection of sandwiches, but not you're usual finger sandwiches. Tuck into fresh mini baguettes with fillings such as Roasted tomato and Mozzarella mini baguette, Butternut squash with goats cheese and harrissa. Smoked Salmon and Herbed Mascarpone.
Moving on to the sweeter treats, there two tiers to try along with a suspended desert! Pictured above is a rich dark chocolate vegan mousse. On the top tier there's a selection of mini meringues, brownies and the famous blondies.
The middle tier has a red velvet cupcake and freshly baked madeleines alongside the classic afternoon tea staple of a scone served with Cornish clotted cream and jam.
To accompany your afternoon tea, choose from a refreshing list of teas including organic jade sword green tea, lemon verbena and rooibos. For Evening Tea, bookings taken from 6pm - 10pm and include Bakewell Fizz Prosecco cocktails, a prosecco twist on the classic Negroni with charcuterie and cheese plates and crostini options too.
